Everyone's going Hi-Tech-so why shouldn't our pets? In this segment, The Muscleman
of Technology showed us the latest Pet Tech products from around the globe. In
the studio was Hollywood's canine superstar "Devon the Great Dane" (star
of several commercials & movies) who helped the MMOT demonstrate the Bow-Lingual
translator. This device translates the mood and emotion your dog is feeling based
on his
bark. For our feline owners, we had the best cat toy ever invented called the "Cat
Attack" which simulates the prey behavior of a mouse by mapping the neural inputs
of mice. It's just a wand with a fur ball attached, but when you turn it on-let
the games begin! Rounding out the segment were 6 bionic song birds that look,
move, and sound so real-you'll think they are real! Also shown was a wireless
Pet Doorbell shaped like a paw, and finally a prototype product of the future
called
iSeePet. Using the Internet, this device lets you feed your pet at home from
anywhere.and watch them eat! Read on for more details about the products Bruce
demonstrated on his 8/21/04 KUSI segment.
Below
are the products Bruce demonstrated
- Takara's Bow-Lingual Translator
www.petsmart.com
MSRP $79.99 PetSmart Item #383194
Description:
We all love our dogs, but wouldn't our relationship be even better if we could understand what they are trying to tell us?
Now we can, thanks to the Bow-Lingual Translator, a ground breaking product which can tell the mood and emotion your dog is
feeling based on his bark! The Bow-Lingual is so accurate you need to enter your dog's breed and gender-don't worry it is
pre-programmed for over 80 breeds. Bow-Lingual even includes a special set-up for mixed-breeds. Everything you need to
interpret your dog's bark is in the box. Bow-Lingual divides barks into six categories of emotion: happy, sad, frustrated,
on-guard/territorial, assertive/showing-off and needy. The wireless microphone attaches to your dog's collar, and sends the
message to the handheld receiver unit where the bark is analyzed. There is even a "Home Alone" mode that lets owners see if
their dog has been barking and how he was feeling when they were away.records all barks over a 12 hour period!

- Takara's Cat Attack
www.toysrus.com
MSRP $19.99 Toys "R" Us SKN# 988235
The world's first remote controlled cat toy exerciser has finally arrived! Attached to the top of the plastic cat on wheels
is a yellow wand with a pompom which emulates the movements and personality of a cat's favorite prey. Don't laugh, because
this technology utilizes algorithms based on a six-dimensional "Coupled Nzmap System" modeled on the neural network of a
real mouse. All you need to know is when the wand dips, sways and bobs crazily, it will incite your cats to swipe the wand
with their paws, batting and chasing it as they play wildly! You control the plastic cat via remote control. The Cat Attack
is for cat enthusiasts who love to interact and play with their beloved felines.
